7 HACKS TO INCREASE YOUR INSTAGRAM STORY VIEWS

What do we want? More Views! When do we want them? Now!

We all want more views on Instagram stories, right?! But how do we accomplish this? I'm not going to make you wait. Let's dive in!

7 Simple Hacks to Increase Your Instagram Story Views

1. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

Focus on posting only the most unique and interesting stories to increase the likelihood of others engaging with your stories. Sweet spot: 3-5 quality stories a day.

2. INCLUDE HASHTAGS

By using hashtags, people can find your story when they search that hashtag. They also can see your story if they follow that hashtag.

🔥PRO TIP: HIDE HASHTAGS IN YOUR STORIES:

  • Type out each hashtag you want to include. It should be underlined.

  • Use the color dropper and drag it on part of the image.

  • Move and shrink the hashtags onto that part of the image.

3. USE LOCATION TAGS IF APPLICABLE

Are you at a social event, seminar, new city, on vacation? Include your location!

4. SUMMARIZE WITH TEXT

I usually watch stories with the sound OFF. What about you? If you are talking on camera, increase your views by including text when you are speaking so people can follow along even with the sound down or off.

5. SHOW YOUR PERSONALITY

Don't be afraid to use different features: add music, use filters, add GIFs, share your location, mention another account, ask a question (question box), take a poll, do a quiz, or add a link! So many ways to show off your best self!

6. CONNECT WITH YOUR FOLLOWERS

Engage with your community... respond to their messages & answers to your questions, poll answers, quiz answers, etc. This is a great way to build relationships and make connections.

7. IT'S ALL ABOUT BALANCE

Post a good balance of business & personal stories. If you usually post 5 stories a day, make at least 1 of them personal. Your followers want to see the "real" you, not only the biz side of you!

***BONUS TIP: LOG OFF!***

If you are feeling overwhelmed or burnt out from posting, tell your followers you're logging off to recharge and let them know when you will be back! Example: Logging off for the weekend for some R&R with the fam. See you on Monday!
